Govt Announced CARD System for Registration of Non-Agricultural Properties

On Saturday, December 19, the state government announced a reversion to the 'CARD' registration scheme for non-agricultural properties provided with the slot booking system. Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar said from December 21, as previously followed, registrations can be taken up using the 'CARD' system.

CARD System for Registrations

CM K Chandrasekhar Rao has directed that registrations of non-agricultural properties be taken up in all sub-registrar offices without insisting on advance slot booking, and using 'for the time being' the CARD system, to avoid any hardship and inconvenience to the public. Following the high court order, the decision was enforced.

He indicated that, on December 11, a major initiative was implemented in the registration system for non-agricultural properties. This was to add clarity, and it was intended to serve the purpose of advance slot booking.

On December 14, the registration of non-agricultural transactions resumed under the new system, with 2,599 slots booked and 1,760 registrations completed so far. Twenty-three different forms of transactions such as selling, mortgage, gift, development agreement, and GPA were eligible for the slot booking. Another five services were planned to be rolled out in the same way.

Workshop Organized on New System

On December 16, the chief secretary had a meeting with bankers, and on December 17, a workshop on the new system was held for builders and developers. On December 17, the high court hold the mandatory slot booking facility for registration, thus allowing registration without insisting on the details of Aadhaar.

The senior officer confirmed that registrations could be taken up on the date and time according to the slots already booked for December 19 and after that.
