Affordable housing share prices dip to 40% from 20% over the last 4 years.

India's housing market remained remarkably resilient despite its bumps and market realignments. In the last 3 years, the market has been severely challenged and managed to thrive and defeat the offs. Although the success has been commendable, a severe issue has been associated with affordable housing.

Considering political hype and market changes, this segment has been observed to be more critical than one would like to believe. Affordable housing is becoming scarce availability and is in the doldrums today.

This situation owes to developers recouping their land costs and to increasing trends of modern and high-end houses. Affordability is diminishing as developers indulge in trading premium spaces.

However, the construction may be decided; the land is necessary to establish structures. A couple among thousands of developers are transacting lower-priced plots, making affordable housing extremely challenging.
