What characteristics do buyers look for in a home?

Although there are many characteristics that define the different profiles of home buyers, in recent months it is proliferated one in particular that focuses on various aspects of brightness, surface, price, location, distribution and status of the property.

Brightness

For most buyers, the brightness in the home is a basic requirement, so the height of the property, the width of the street, the orientation and the layout of the floor will be key elements to make the final decision.

Price

Although it does not allude to a specific characteristic of housing, the price is the element that ends up decanting the balance towards the 'yes' or the ‘no'. The agreement between buyer and seller will depend to a great extent on the existence of a correct appraisal of the property in relation to the prices and situation of the real estate market.

Location

Living in central areas is no longer essential for buyers. If years ago living in the city was a priority, today there are many families who do not hesitate to track the market in search of housing in peripheral areas or smaller towns belonging to large metropolitan areas. The neighborhood in particular does remain a very important decision factor, with special attention to those who have good security, commercial life, leisure offer and green areas.

Distribution and status

The distribution is an increasingly important element, because the correct use of the space allows optimizing the surface of the building, gaining in comfort.

In this sense, a large hall, a living room with kitchenette and a good size of the rooms are the most requested requirements by buyers. Regarding the state of the house, those apartments that have been renovated experience an evident revaluation.
