Decision To Grant NOC To Builder Challenged

The famous Ramappa Temple bagged the tag of being called a “UNESCO World Heritage Site” recently which made the state of Telangana proud but has simultaneously stirred the government for a cause that marches towards the state’s development.
Telangana hosts many such archeological sites worth the title “UNESCO, World Heritage Sites”. The Ramappa Temple was nominated in 2014, which was 4 years after the Golconda Fort, Qutb Shahi Tombs, and Charminar were nominated.
According to the National Monument Authority (NMA), no construction activities can be carried out near the site that is on the list of being nominated as UNESCO World Heritage Site. This clause refrained the NMA from giving a builder the NoC to construct villas between Golconda Fort and Qutb Shahi Tomb complex hindering the state’s road to real estate growth and expansion. The state government challenged NMA’s decision to not grant the NoC giving the builders of Telangana a ray of hope.

After all the back and forth between the state government and NMA, NMA finally called for the big meeting to revisit and reconsider the NoC citing. According to the National Monument Authority, not enough information was provided for Golconda Fort, Qutb Shahi Tombs, and Charminar to qualify for the big title.

As a result of the meeting, it was decided that the authorities concerned along with the local official of the Archeological Survey of India and Competent Authority of Telangana would visit the proposed site of construction, which never happened. Exactly after a month, NMA went back on their stubborn decision and granted the builder the NoC to construct villa between Golconda Fort and Qutb Shahi Tomb complex.

As they say, where there is a will, there is a way! A big round of applause for our state government to have supported real estate expansion which otherwise wouldn’t have been possible.
