With an aim to prevent the dumping of construction and demolition waste in lakes and roads, the GHMC has started a door-to-door collection drive.
A separate fleet of small and large vehicles has been hired by GHMC officials for waste collection.
The mini trucks can transport six to seven tonnes of debris, and the bigger ones can carry 16 to 25 tonnes.
Across GHMC limits, about 2,000 MT of debris is generated every day, and the four C&D processing plants can process 500 MT every day.
Builders, as well as citizens, can avail this service by contacting the local C&D waste processing agency, which will send a truck to collect the waste.
It is 398.50 per MT in Yousufguda, Kukatpally, Moosapet, etc., and 388.75 per MT in LB Nagar, Uppal, Malakpet, etc.
In circles like Charminar, Falaknuma, Mehdipatnam and Jubilee Hills, the C&D waste is at 405 per MT.
