Skyroot Aerospace Secures Massive $27.5M Funding!

Hyd space technology company, secures a funding of Rs. 225 crores.

Hyderabad-based private space technology company Skyroot Aerospace has successfully secured an additional USD 27.5 million (equivalent to Rs. 225 crore) in a pre-series C funding round, with leading participation from Singapore-based global investment firm Temasek. This latest capital injection is set to fuel Skyroot's next phase of growth, with a focus on expanding infrastructure, reinforcing their technology leadership, attracting top-tier talent, and improving launch frequency and capabilities. Importantly, the company plans to maintain its core team throughout this expansion. 

Skyroot is poised to revolutionize India's space launch capabilities with its Vikram series of rockets, designed to deploy small and medium-sized satellites efficiently and reliably into space. Pawan Kumar Chandana, Co-founder and CEO of Skyroot, emphasized the importance of this funding, stating that it would enable the acceleration of upcoming launches planned over the next two years. He noted that India's successful moon landing mission had reignited global interest in the country's space prowess. 

Bharath Daka, Co-founder and COO of Skyroot, expressed his enthusiasm for the involvement of globally renowned investor Temasek, stating that this fundraise would support the enhancement of production infrastructure, R&D, and team strength, ultimately enabling them to achieve a higher launch cadence in the years ahead. This marks an exciting phase in Skyroot's journey as they continue to make strides in India's space technology landscape.
