50 lakes to be revamped by KTR in Hyderabad

Telangana government to revive 50 lakes in Hyderabad.

On Tuesday, Telangana's department of municipal administration and urban development began a campaign to revitalize and develop 50 water bodies in and around Hyderabad.

K.T. Rama Rao, minister of municipal management and urban development, officially launched the "Lakes Development Program" at Khajaguda Lake. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is responsible for 25 of the 50 lakes, while the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) is responsible for the remaining 25.

Real estate development firms using lakes for development received MoU certificates from Minister KTR. According to him, there will be walking trails, landscaping, open gyms, benches, restrooms, lighting for evening strolls, a children's play area, gazebos, an amphitheater, and other amenities at the lakes' edges.

As the lake was created, Durgam Cheruvu became a trendy tourist destination, according to KTR, who also predicted that there would be additional attractions.

The minister discussed Hyderabad's explosive growth during the last eight years in IT, life sciences, and other industries and the world-class infrastructure built here. "Hyderabadis are taking responsibility and taking pleasure in their progress on all fronts. Our trip has just just started. There are several plans," minister KTR stated.
