SBI’s Griha Shakti 2023 property show showcases more than 400 projects.

‘Griha Shakti 2023,’ a property exhibition organized by the State Bank of India (SBI) in collaboration with the Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) Chennai, showcased more than 400 projects during its run at the Chennai Trade Centre until November 5. 

The inauguration of the event was graced by Ravi Ranjan, Chief General Manager of SBI Chennai Circle, alongside S.M.V.R. Murali Krishna, General Manager of SBI Chennai Circle, Network-1, and Mehul Doshi, Vice President of CREDAI Chennai, marked its commencement. 

SBI disclosed reaching a milestone of Rs.6 trillion in the home loan segment, boasting a substantial 22% market share. The bank's real estate home loan portfolio in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry stands at nearly Rs. 62,000 crore, with Chennai Zone contributing half of this amount. 

Highlighting specifics, SBI noted that prospective buyers, averaging around 30 years old, display a preference for apartments, while an increasing number are inclined towards acquiring plots for self-construction. To cater to these varied needs, the bank introduced the COMBO loan. Moreover, luxury spaces in sought-after areas like Anna Nagar, East Coast Road, Old Mahabalipuram Road, Meenambakkam, Velachery, Ambattur, and Guindy are witnessing heightened demand. 

SBI extends comprehensive services in this segment, boasting 250-plus branches, seven loan processing units, two home loan sales teams, a builder relations team, and over 250 home loan counsellors in the city to ensure end-to-end support.
