The Visakhapatnam Port Trust (VPT) has entered into business agreements worth Rs 30, 334.91 crores with various companies, informed Chairman of VPT K. Rammohan Rao recently.
Visakhapatnam also hosted Maritime India Summit through a video conference between March 2 and March 4 in order to attract international investments. Prime Minister Narendra presided over the summit, which saw the virtual participation of 20,000 delegates from 24 countries. Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jaganmohan Reddy also addressed the summit on March 3.
The memoranda of understanding (MoUs) signed by VPT include:
Deals worth Rs 26,264 crore with HPCL
Rs 600 crore business with ArcelorMittal
Rs 125 crore pact with Dredging Corporation of India
