Rs 200 crore was given to Telangana State by the Central Government for road infrastructure improvements.

The fund will be used for 868 km of eight national highways passing through the state for repairs and maintenance.
G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, welcomed Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highway Affairs, for granting the sum and the decision was taken immediately after the Minister 's meeting in Delhi on 23 October.
The civic body has developed the city infrastructure by widening the roads and constructing flyovers, underpasses and road extensions.
The financial assistance from the center will be further useful to improve state road projects.
