The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) at IIIT Hyderabad has introduced five startups for the Avishkar Accelerator 2023 winter cohorts, covering domains like Deeptech, Medtech, Mediatech, and Mobility. 

The accelerator's inaugural event convened CIE’s panel of mentors and industry experts, shortlisting 31 startups from a pool of 150 applications. 

Selected startups will benefit from a seed fund of Rs. 40 lakh and a comprehensive six-month program featuring four streams of mentorship: business strategy, go-to-market planning, technical review, and domain-specific guidance. 

Prof. Ramesh Loganathan, COO of CIE-IIITH, highlighted Avishkar's significance: "This program supports revenue-ready deep tech startups, facilitating their entry into the market with research faculty contributing to their technologies.” 

Since its inception in 2016, the Avishkar Accelerator has seen over 17 cohorts fostering startups in AI, ML, IoT, and digital health, with around 53 percent securing follow-on funding.
