Cyberabad Cops Instructed Companies to Counsel Migrant Laborers

Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar has made strict instructions for companies and supervisors to take care of their migrant workers and inform them to stay wherever they are. If any company refuses to do so, and their workers are observed moving to their native place on foot, the police will take legal proceedings against the company.

Strict Instructions to Companies of Migrant Workers

Police Commissioner said that as the lockdown has been extended to May 3, 2020, a huge number of people have been found wanting to go back to their native places on foot, including migrant laborers from other States. They also noted that these workers carrying small children, heavy luggage, and walking across the highways might be extremely dangerous because road accidents may occur, and they may suffer from dehydration and other health problems.

In this context, all the companies, including construction company managers and labor supervisors, were instructed to inform their migrant workers and take care of their stay. If it is found that anyone violating lockdown orders, legal action will be taken against the managers of the respective businesses and labor supervisors.

He ensured the administration would take all necessary measures to provide the migrant workers with food, shelter, and ensure their safety during the lockdown. But, due to various apprehensions about the lockdown, many people decide to take up this difficult task of returning to their native places on foot.

Cyberabad Cops are asking migrant workers, to have no misgivings about the lockdown and to stay wherever they are. Also, the migrants can seek the help of the administration or police for any issues of food and shelter. This helps them to stay safe and prevent the spread of coronavirus.
