FSI Relaxation Measures Initiated in Secunderabad Cantonment

Relaxation efforts are being made to benefit the property owners in Secunderabad Cantonment in the existing Floor Space Index (FSI) rule.

Jampana Pratap, vice President of Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) and BJP leader, met Prachur Goel (DGDE) and requesting him to relax FSI. Earlier, Goel was SCB and Defense Estates Officer (DEO), Hyderabad Circle Chief Executive Officer. In a few weeks' time, the DGDE responded positively to Pratap reporters and assured SCB of a visit.

The SCB calculates 1.5 FSI at silt/floor level in all civil residential colonies and regulates the fee for the composition of charges in accordance with the provisions of the Cantonment Act 2006.

The owners of properties, therefore, use silt/basement space either for business or to build secure rooms, carparks, AC plant rooms, electric cabins, and even safety guard's rooms, Pratap said. With this FSI standard, high corruption was acquired.
