GHMC emphasizes infrastructure improvement

The respected Mayor, Gadwal Vijaya Laxmi, addressed that the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) was focusing mainly on the development of the infrastructure facilities in Hyderabad. 

According to the needs of the growing population, 38 foot-over bridges were constructed with a cost of about Rs. 5 crores each at ESI Hospital, Erragadda, on Monday. The total cost that was sanctioned was Rs. 100 crores.  

It was mentioned that under the guidance of the Municipal Administration and the Urban Development Minister, K T Rama Rao, the corporation had launched several projects that worked towards changing the face of Hyderabad road infrared, like the Strategic Road Development Programme (SRDP), Comprehensive Road Maintenance Programme (CRMP) 

Strategic Nala Development Programme (SNDP), flyovers, and Nala works.  

Considering the practicality, 22-foot over bridges were taken up with a budget of Rs.75.65 crores.  

The mayor said that "Eight of these bridges have come into service, and the progress of remaining results is at various stages.
