At the USIBC India Ideas Summit, Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal stated that India will identify land for the development of the industry through a GIS tool.

India to Launch GIS Service For Foreign Companies

The GIS system will have a Google Earth view, which would allow any person sitting in Iceland to locate and buy land in India. The GIS-based land buying service on a pilot basis would attract US companies.

The plans also made for an 'early harvest' agreement with the US. The suggestions were made that both the United States and India require to sit at the negotiating table and try to create a more sustainable and enduring Free Trade Agreement (FTA) partnership. Although FTA takes time, 100-150 goods and services should be accepted by both sides and start to work.

India has a developed pharma manufacturing sector, and US firms already have a strong collaboration with India. As the largest player in the vaccine, India can help the US and the rest of the world. Indian pharmaceutical firms have a chance to support the US as a partner, and not just at a price-wise. It is time for both countries to come together.

India is an ideal investment destination and has an excellent opportunity to attract US companies with its smart tools.
