Govt Allotted 2BHK Houses to Eligible Beneficiaries at Bagh Lingampally

Double Bedroom Houses at Bagh Lingampally

On Saturday, 9 January 2021, MA&UD Minister K T Rama Rao allocated 126 2BHK houses to the people of Lambada Thanda in Bagh Lingampally, after residents at eight locations became the proud owners of double-bedroom houses. These houses are provided for free by the state government to poor and eligible beneficiaries.

Addressing the occasion,  the Minister urged residents to keep the area hygienic and clean. This is our house, our colony, and our place. Do not throw waste on the road or in the community and ensure sanitation to avoid illnesses.

Measures for the delivery of houses at Chilkalguda, SC Bose Nagar, Gandhinagar, Sriram Nagar and Potti Sri Ramulu Nagar are now being expedited.

Sports Facilities

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) also focuses on the growth of sports facilities in the city in parallel with housing for the needy. A multipurpose sports complex at Adikmet was inaugurated by the Minister. It is packed with a gym for women and men, the sports complex has basketball facilities, a badminton court, table tennis, chess and carroms.

GHMC has already developed resident leisure facilities for sports complexes, auditoriums, indoor stadiums and playgrounds, and is encouraging sportsmen to upgrade their skills by providing the requisite amenities. As many as 18 such facilities are planned by GHMC and a few have already been made available to the public and work is under process at other locations.
