HMDA initiated the work of five bridges costing Rs 129.76 crores.

The HMDA began building five bridges across the Esa and Musi rivers to strengthen connectivity to areas on either side of the rivers. 

A New Indian Express report said that the five bridges are ready to be constructed and cost Rs 129.76 crores. 

The bridge connecting Manchirevula village to Narsingi will cost the highest value - Rs 32.21 crores.  

The Budvel (IT Parks and connecting roads parallel to Esa river) bridge will cost approximately Rs 20.64 crores. A second-level bridge at Budvel is being constructed at Rs 19.83 crores. 

The bridge between Uppal Bhagayat Layout and the south bank of the Musi will cost Rs 29.28 crores. A high-level bridge connecting Pratap Singaram to Gowrelly will cost around Rs 26.94 crores. 

According to sources, one agency will construct the bridges for quicker completion under the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) mode. 

In 2022, the Telangana government allotted Rs 545 crores for constructing 15 bridges across the Musi and Esa rivers, considering Hyderabad's growth.
