GHMC to Examine Land Acquisition Process

In his conversation with the Chairman of the Wakf Board, Rammohan said that soon a meeting would take place with all religious leaders to persuade them to collaborate in the acquisition of land so that construction activities will take place immediately.

In a meeting, officials discussed about geo-tagging Wakf board lands which belonged to GHMC and HMDA. They also discussed the acquisition of land for the laying of flyover bridges in Dargah Hazrat Rajdhar Sahab, an attached land located in the ORR junction Gachibowli, Serilingampally in the district of Ranga Reddy that is a notificated Waqf property. Due to the objections raised by the Waqf Board, the GHMC authorities charged money to private parties.

Manikonda Jagir, part of the land linked to Masjid-e-Qutubshahi in Malkam Cheruvu, was impacted when 634.00 guntas were expanded on a road widening. During the meeting, Mohd Saleem said It's a Mosque of 400 years old, and its attached boundary wall was destroyed. GHMC officials confirmed that they would reconstruct the boundary wall.

The Mayor and of the Wakf Board officials have also decided to hold regular meetings so that delays in acquiring property can be quickly initiated.
