Dr BR Ambedkar’s statue, the new Secretariat and Telangana Martyrs’ Memorial will change the landscape of Hussain Sagar, the lake in the heart of Hyderabad. 

This 125-foot statue of Ambedkar is to be unveiled on his birthday (April 14) along with the Secretariat building, which is also named after him. 

This will add attraction to the tourists who throng the area every day. 

Another milestone, the Telangana Martyrs’ Memorial, is also getting inaugurated. 

The state government has invited Ambedkar’s grandson, Prakash Ambedkar, the chief guest for the unveiling ceremony. 

They believe that this statue will inspire people every day and motivate the entire state administration. 

KCR said that the Secretariat building would reflect Telangana's pride and stand as a role model for other states. 

The complex is a seven-storey structure with a built-up area of 7 lakh square feet and is equipped with all modern facilities. It has been constructed at the cost of nearly Rs 650 crore.
