Inauguration Of Hyderabad's Indira Park-VST Steel Flyover

The much-awaited steel flyover between Indira Park and VST in Hyderabad, constructed by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) with approximately 13,000 tonnes of steel, is to be inaugurated by Independence Day, marking a significant milestone in the city's transportation infrastructure.

The 2.62 km-long bi-directional elevated corridor, equipped with four lanes, is part of the Telangana government's Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP).

Jubilee Hills, which is home to numerous IT firms, has been grappling with traffic congestion, prompting the GHMC to construct the steel flyover.

This flyover will become the fifth steel bridge in Hyderabad, following those at Indira Park-VST Junction, Malakpet, and Punjagutta.

The maximum speed allowed on the flyover will be set at 40 km per hour.

Almost all construction work on the steel flyover has been completed, with the exception of a span passing over the Metro Rail line.
