India's 1st Community Centre for Artificial Intelligence Opened in Hyd

On Monday, 28th Dec the Nation's first Artificial Intelligence Community Centre, HexArt, was initiated in Hyderabad by Hexagon Capability Center India (HCCI), the most extensive product development unit technology major Hexagon AB.

The institute integrates modern facilities, IT hardware & software and a well-designed curriculum, developed at the cost of Rs 64 Lakhs. In order to operate the AI community centre, HCCI would allocate a further Rs 30 Lakhs YoY. The centre will train more than 350 students in many batches per year.

HexArt's aim is to modernise AI awareness cum skills for the masses and provide the community with free AI education. The primary and advanced-level courses are planned for students from Class 8 to 12 and senior engineering graduates.

Jayesh Ranjan, IT and EC Minister, who launched the facility, said 2020 is being memorialised as the year of AI in Telangana. It will be a key priority for the coming year and beyond. It is essential that it has developed a deep pool of talent, and AI will play a key role. He appreciates Hexagon's commitment to boosting the growth of futuristic technology at the group level.

Navneet Mishra, HCCI vice president & general manager, at the institute's opening, stated that the AI community centre's objective is to empower and up-skill the next generation of AI-skilled youth. To compete and flourish in today's world, they must make AI effective. Being the Hyderabad's oldest MNC, they are focused on developing the state's talent community and advancing their development.
