KCR Plans to Set up Another International Airport near Siddipet in Future

On Thursday, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao indicated the possibility of a second international airport development in the future near Siddipet, in addition to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in suburban Shamshabad.

Infrastructure Development Plans in Siddipet

Siddipet is a thriving location and is close to Hyderabad. The state government is hoping to develop Siddipet infrastructure. 

After laying the foundation stone for the district's IT park at Duddeda in Kondapak, the Chief Minister said the construction of an IT Tower would facilitate Siddipet's development on all fronts. He praised the entrepreneurs for showing interest in setting up their establishments in the planned IT Center.

Four US-settled business owners from Siddipet include Ram Mattapally, Ashok Kumar Tattipally, Manohar Gachireddy and Ramakanth have stepped forward to set up their IT Tower facilities which would employ 900 people. It will, directly and indirectly, hire over 3,000 people.

IT and Industries Secretary Jayesh Ranjan signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the members of the four companies at the ceremony. Officials said a few more businesses were also considering setting up their establishments at the tower.

The state government is constructing the IT Tower on three acres at the cost of over Rs 45 crore, and construction on a built-up area of 60,000 sq.ft will be finished in the first phase in a year. In the second phase, construction on another 60,000 sq. ft will be taken up. Plans have also been drawn up to provide employees with all available facilities.
