KVR Took Charge as Roads & Buildings Minister & Signs on 9 Infra Projects

Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy (KVR) took charge as roads, buildings, and cinematography minister at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat on Sunday. On first day, KVR approves nine infrastructure projects as Roads and Buildings minister. 

Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy told journalists that the government would prioritize Hyderabad-Vijayawada projects to cut travel time to two-and-a-half hours. 

On day one, the minister signed nine ministry project files. 

Specific projects include: 

  • The Nalgonda district's four-lane road between Muschampally and Dharmapuram will cost one hundred crore rupees. 

  • Allocating 4.15 crores to fortify the Lingampally-Dudyal Road in the Vikarabad district. 

  • 14 state highways would be upgraded to national highway status, including Mallepally Nalgonda and the Regional Ring Road (RRR) south of Choutuppal, Amangal, Shadnagar, and Sangareddy. 

  • The Hyderabad Vijayawada Highway will be six lanes long. 

  • The Nalgonda town limits will be improved as part of the Nakrekal-Nagarjunasagar Road balancing works. 

  • Section of NH-765 between Hyderabad and Kalwakurthy will be four lanes. 

  • The budget for the Central Road Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) should be increased for the state of Telangana. 

According to Venkat Reddy, it has been ordered that all highways be repaired within the next month.
