In the buffer zone of Hussainsagar Lake, the HMDA would create a Rs 27 crore Lake Front Park with elevated walkways and a cantilever dock.
It will be built on 10 acres of property next to Jala Vihar, a prominent water park and convention center, as part of the lake's tourism circuit. HMDA states, it is part of the ‘improvement and landscaping around Hussainsagar’ ordered by Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development K. T. Rama Rao.
The park has four 110-metre high walkways and a 15-metre cantilever pier into the lake for deck views. Also a 240-metre-long, 2-metre-wide curved promenade and a 690-metre walkway connecting all park components are additional attractions.
The architecture includes pavilions, a lakeshore promenade, Panchatatva Walkway, central pathway, and underpasses. HMDA's first bar-coded name boards are used to plant four lakh exotic plants in the landscaping.
To facilitate projects, twenty two 25-year-old trees were moved to the lake front park. This area has scented/aromatic, uncommon saplings, and drain-water, shade-repellent plants.
Opening hours for the park are 5:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., with entry fees of Rs 10 for children, Rs 50 for adults, and Rs 100 per month for morning walkers.
