Thursday, Goldman Sachs opened a new office, which houses engineering and global enterprise relationships platforms and be a hub for client onboarding, a release said.
Telangana IT Minister K T Rama Rao said: "The new long-term office of Goldman Sachs in Hyderabad is a welcome addition after their 2021 arrival. It highlights Telangana's overall efforts to engage, interact, and attract multinational corporations to Hyderabad.
Goldman Sachs' global chief operating officer of Engineering and country head of Goldman Sachs Services India, Gunjan Samtani, had this to say about the new office in the city of Hyderabad: "This new Hyderabad region office shows our top goals of cooperation, creativity, long-term sustainability, and innovative technology, and our dedication to enable our staff to create breakthroughs locally and interact globally."
To achieve the company's talent seeding strategy, the office is staffed with both fresh employees and internal transfers from Bengaluru. It reported over 1,500 professionals in Hyderabad, with over 75% fresh recruits.
At Salarpuria Sattva Knowledge City, the new office is a 3.51 lakh square foot nine-story structure that can hold 2,500 professionals. Along with the Bengaluru office, India has Goldman Sachs' largest footprint outside New York, the release said.
