On Thursday, Minister MA&UD K T Rama Rao inaugurated Rangadhamuni Cheruvu's IDL Lakefront Park in Kukatpally. The HMDA-built park has paver blocks, cobblestone, softscape, and granite flooring on the main bund. Stepped and cubicle seating and sculptures await guests. 

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority developed its 46.24 acres with 568-metre-long major bundts. 

The Mumbai National Highway borders the lake, which is in an FTL area with dense housing, gated communities, and commercial projects. 

In the evenings, large crowds can be seen lounging on the central bund and snacking at the food vendors. 

Following the launch, KTR issued orders for the beautification of the main bund, which would include landscaping, grass, pathways, street furniture, and other amenities for the public's use. 

The HMDA laid pathways with paver blocks, cobblestone, and granite flooring on the main bund to make the lake more aesthetically pleasing at a cost of over Rs 9.80 crore. 

The construction works were carried out at a price worth Rs.7.6 Crores, whereas the landscape design work cost Rs.38.52 Lakhs. The lake, near Mumbai National Highway, is a popular leisure zone for neighbouring residents, bringing a huge throng for evening leisure on the main bund alongside hawkers and food carts.
