On Wednesday, MAUD Minister KT Rama Rao announced that the government would be issuing guidelines "within 15 days" for the development of 1.34 lakh acres that had been "freed" after the lifting of GO 111, which had limited development near the twin lakes of Osman Sagar and Himayatsagar.
He stated that this new strategy would follow environmental standards. "The lifting of GO 111 has opened 1.32 lakh acres for development. KTR stated that the state government would obey environmental rules for planned growth.
The State government has also developed a green budget, which is great news! The green cover has increased by seven per cent. Hyderabad has been proudly named the Tree City of India for two years! When we place great importance on greenery and eco-friendly initiatives, it's important to consider why we would want to disrupt the environment even after revoking GO 111. The people in the 84 villages previously affected by the scrapped GO are also feeling happy because better days are coming for them," he said.
During an election meeting, the Chief Minister informed locals that all parties want GO 111 removed. We're not in a rush to create another metropolis there. He said that since it's a bio-conservation zone, urban planners and others are developing roadways, transport hubs, development zones, and more.
