D. Sridhar Babu, the Telangana Minister for IT, Industries, and Commerce, has assumed the role of President at the All India Industrial Exhibition (AIIE) society, renowned for hosting Numaish, the country's largest industrial exhibition held annually in Hyderabad.
Taking over from Harish Rao, former Finance Minister and BRS leader, Sridhar Babu is set to lead the AIIE society as preparations gear up for Numaish's upcoming edition, scheduled to commence on January 1, 2024, and welcome visitors until February 15, 2024.
Numaish-e-Masnuaat-e-Mulki, or simply Numaish, originated in 1938 to showcase locally manufactured goods. A group of Osmania University graduates conceived it. Its inaugural edition was inaugurated by the seventh Nizam of Hyderabad State, Mir Osman Ali Khan.
The overwhelming response prompted its transformation into an annual affair, with proceeds allocated to educational promotion. Initially composed of 50 stalls, Numaish has since burgeoned into a colossal national industrial exhibition.
Applications are open for stall registration at the 83rd annual Numaish 2024, hosted at Hyderabad's Exhibition Grounds. Those interested can access the exhibition's website to complete the application process. It's crucial to note that stall registration fees vary based on size and location, ranging from Rs 75,000 to Rs 1,50,000, with premium rates applicable for prime locations.
