The road infrastructure in Hyderabad is set to get a boost with works like the development of nine new model corridors at a cost of Rs. 27.94 crores.  

In addition to these works, more upcoming works related to these five more model corridors are expected to commence soon. 

The GHMC had proposed 16 works related to the development of these model corridors with an estimated cost of Rs. 52.72 crores covering 19.54 km.   

Rethibowli Junction – Nanal Nagar Junction, Bandlaguda Main Road – Aramghar, Nanakramguda Junction – Gachibowli via IT Heights Road are some roads that will turn into model corridors. 

In addition to these upcoming roads, the model corridor will also have a 1.8-metre bicycle track and new pavements along with greenery. 

"During rains, the stormwater drainage infrastructure will ensure that the water quickly drains out, increasing the longevity of the road,” said a GHMC official recently.
