No Need for Aadhaar & Family Members' Details to Register Properties : HC

Hyderabad: Yesterday, Telangana high court ordered the government to ask for Aadhar details from individuals on registering non-agricultural lands and properties through the Dharani portal.

The court directed the state government to accept the registrations through Dharani till the Aadhar section is removed.

The court conjointly asked the government and officers to ascertain that the caste and family members details mustn't be asked to register the properties and lands.

Two advocates K.Saketh and I.Gopal Sharma filed the petition and understanding the petition, the court made these significant observations. The court adjourned the case to Dec twenty for the next hearing.

To refrain from requesting the Aadhar, forged, and family members' details throughout the registrations' method. The court remarks came at a time once the Dharani portal developed some technical snags. This was explicit by the advocates United Nations agency argued against seeking the personal details of the individuals.

The state's court expressed concern that individuals' private details are intact and not taken by the officers. And also urged officers that such personal information that should be confidential, the court opined.

There is a priority on the safety of non-public details of the individuals the court aforesaid.

The government ought to create necessary changes within the Dharani portal by making required changes then take up the method.
