Office transactions saw a 12 per cent increase in Hyderabad during 2022, having the third-highest leasing volumes of 6.7 million sq ft.
According to the latest Knight Frank India report, it is among the top eight markets despite a 20 per cent decline in leasing volumes in H2 of 2022 at 3. 5 msft compared to H2 of 2021.
Hyderabad was behind only Bengaluru, which saw 14.5 msft office space transactions, and Delhi, which recorded 8.9 msft, ahead of significant markets like Mumbai and Chennai.
But when it comes to new office space completions, Hyderabad emerged as second, after Bengaluru (15.6 msft).
It has office completions at 146 per cent in over a decade in HiTech City and Financial District.
Speaking more about the office market demand, Samson Arthur, the senior branch director – of Hyderabad, Knight Frank India, gave us some insight.
He briefly mentioned, “Growth in IT transactions is a very positive indicator for the Hyderabad market, as the city continues to attract IT players. The IT sector businesses have been driving up volumes generated by managed office and coworking players in the city. "
