Pharma Sector in Telangana Recorded Strong in Bulk Drugs Production

Hyderabad's pharmaceutical center, which will double by 2030, now has a revenue base of $50 billion. In the future, investments will be drawn up for projects such as Hyderabad Pharma City and Genome Valley 2.0 as well as Medical Devices Park. Recently Medtronics announced a huge investment in the city as Sahajanand Medical Technologies is developing Asia's largest stent production plant.

On Thursday, 26th Nov Telangana Minister of Industry KT Rama Rao informed about Transforming Hyderabad into a global city, the city now accounts for 35% of the country's drug production and also a top producer of vaccines. In addition, it is also planning to double profits and build employment.

Tourism Opportunities

The tourism industry is an employment multiplier and an economic growth facilitator. With adventure tourism, wildlife, and religious tourism, Telangana always has opportunities. The State can also consider bringing sea airplanes, and water sports opportunities are also available. It would draw the biggest names in tourism.

Empowering Women

In response to a query on the government's steps to empower women economically, KTR said the government of Telangana created WE Hub to incubate women entrepreneur-led start-ups, dedicated industrial parks for women entrepreneurs. SHE teams have been developed for safety and have played a key role all these years. Drone policing will also be discussed for the safety of women.

There are proposals to establish a district of culture and theatre and works could be explored in Ibrahimbad near Taramati Baradari at a suitable time.

Healthcare in Neighbourhood

KTR said that with a holistic approach, the government is extending its Basti Dawakhana initiative. 224 centers have been opened so far, and this will quickly grow to 1,000. The principle is to have a Dawakhana within every 10,000 people's reach.
