PM Modi to Unveil 21 Amrit Bharat Railway Station

Plan for Development of 21 Amrit Rly Stations at Rs 894 Crore in Telangana

On 6th Aug, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the Rs 894 crore development of 21 Amrit Bharat Railway stations in Telangana. 

Telangana will have 39 Amrit Bharat stations as part of the Amrit Bharat station program. The first phase, which will cost Rs 894 crore, will see the laying of the foundation stone for 21 of those stations. 

Here are the 21 stations: Nampally, Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Mahbubnagar, Mahbubabad, Malakpet, Malkajgiri, Uppguda, Hafeezpet, Hi-Tech City, Karimnagar, Ramagundem, Khammam, Madhira, Jangoan, Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri, Kazipet Junction, Tandur, Bhadrachalam Road, Zaheerabad, and Adilabad. 

Apart from these railway stations, Prime Minister has set the foundation stone for Secunderabad Railway Station at Rs 715 crore. At the same time, Cherlapally Railway Station is being refurbished at Rs 221 crore. 

Amrit Bharat Station is an initiative of the Indian government's Ministry of Railways. The plan involves long-term station development. It consists in creating Master Plans and implementing them in phases to improve station amenities. 

The scheme also includes building improvements, multimodal integration, amenities for Divyangjans, sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions, ballastless tracks, "Roof Plazas" as needed, phasing and feasibility, and the long-term creation of city centres at the station. 

Amrit Bharat Stations prioritizes passenger comfort, cleanliness, free Wi-Fi, and modernization of railway stations.
