Prioritising your future house real estate

Prioritising your future home

Tired of changing homes and negotiating for rent now and then, 29-year-old Kaustubh Patil, back in 2016, preferred to be an owner rather than a renter.

Patil always wanted a space where he could marry someone and welcome them into his own home.

How Patil gathered money for his dream home was through nearly 80% of his fixed deposits and the remaining 20% in liquid

The rest, he bought a loan.

The biggest hurdle he faced was the sanctioning of the loan. Though he was eligible to take a loan from a bank, he had difficulty finding a bank. But he ultimately found a bank that loaned him Rs. 30 lahks.

He learnt that one never gets the desired amount but gets the required sum.

He advised maintaining a file/register for all the documents exchanged with the bank/loan lenders and scanned copies and photocopies of all documents in case of confusion.
