SCB reopens five major roads in the Cantonment area in Secunderabad

The residents of the Cantonment area in Secunderabad, after years of facing inconveniences, can now access five major roads where there were blockages.

The Local Military Authorities (LMA) removed the blockages following an order from the Ministry of Defence.

This decision is a significant stress relief to the residents of the northeastern part of the city who were facing inconveniences while travelling across the city.

This removal of blockages reduced the distance from Balaji Nagar, Yapral, to Rajiv Rahadari, Nagpur Highway.

The removal also reduced the distance from Sainikpuri and AS Rao Nagar to Bolarum, Nagpur Highway.

Telangana's Minister, KT Rama Rao wrote to the Union Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh, appealing to him for the elimination of the unauthorised roadblocks in the Secunderabad Cantonment area (SCB).

He requested the local authorities to not indulge in such closures of roads without having the necessary authorization from concerned authorities.
