CM Fulfills 2 Promises Out of 6: Free Bus Travel and Cheyuta Schemes

On Saturday, December 9, the newly elected chief minister, Revanth Reddy, inaugurated the free RTC bus travel for women that is being provided by the "6 Guarantees—Maha Lakshmi Scheme" and the Rajiv Aarogyasri health insurance scheme.

According to a GO (government order) that the state government issued on Friday, all female and transgender passengers are now welcome on Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC)-operated Palle Velugu and Express Buses.

The program is set to be implemented on 7292 buses. For female passengers, we shall issue a zero ticket. To ensure local polarization, passengers must show their identity cards to the conductors during the trip.

The TSRTC will get its money back from the state government. The state government would provide medical coverage up to Rs 10 lakh under the Rajiv Aarogyasri Health Insurance Plan. The previous BRS administration made a payment of five lakhs.

More than 1,376 operations and 289 medical procedures are accessible to the public through Aarogyasri. The plans were unveiled to celebrate the birthday of Sonia Gandhi, a prominent Congress leader and former head of the AICC.  Revanth, chief minister of Telangana, made the historic announcement on the occasion of Sonia Gandhi-ji's birthday on December 9.
