Telangana, an urbanized and fast-growing state

Telangana has developed to become the fastest-growing urbanized state in the country  

The government is undertaking monthly funds to improvise primary facilities and sanitation projects in every municipality.  

They allotted Rs.3,786 crores to 142 municipalities from March 2020 till now for urban growth works.  

Out of this, Rs.1,919 crores were dispensed to GHMC. Rs.1,866 crores were assigned to 141 municipalities and corporations. Rs.3,066 crores have been employed. 

Telangana stands tallest among the most livable cities and towns considering urban development.  

An increase in sanitation vehicles from 2,548 to 4,713 resulted in an increase in garbage transportation from 2,675 to 4,356 metric tonnes in 141 ULBs.  

The administration of human fecal waste treatment plants was also reinforced. 

The government is rigidly enforcing one public toilet for every thousand people. 

These parameters order officials to review public toilets every Tuesday and Friday.
