US Consulate Hyderabad operates operations in New building

U.S. Consulate now operates through the new building in Nanakramguda.

On Monday, the U.S. Consulate General in Hyderabad announced that it had begun using its new facility, situated in the Financial District Nanakramguda at Sy. No. 115/1.

The Consulate confirmed that the scheduled interviews for a visa would happen at the new location. In contrast, all other visa services will continue to be provided by the Visa Application Center (VAC) at the Hitech City Metro Station in Madhapur.

"Today marks a milestone in the US-India strategic cooperation. Our new consulate building in Hyderabad, which cost $340 million, is an investment in the relationship between the United States and India. In the months and years to come, we anticipate growing our workforce and deepening connections between the United States and India, said U.S. Consul General Jennifer Larson.

The new Consulate has been built on a 12-acre parcel of land with a $70 million local investment. The U.S. Consulate General represents the United States in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Odisha.

The Consulate General awarded more than 18,000 student visas in 2022, and U.S. corporations made significant investments in the region's IT, defence, aerospace, and pharmaceutical industries.
