AP Government to Focus on Setting Up IT Hubs in Three Cities

The AP Government is all geared to set up information technology hubs near three cities, including Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, and Bangalore.

Plans to Develop IT Industries

The Chief Minister directed the officials to come up with an action plan to set up information technology centres near three cities in South India. He stated that these cities should contribute to the growth of IT and support development by adding as many industries as possible. These should also focus on the creation of a large number of jobs.

Instructions were given to the officials to concentrate on providing continuous internet services in every village and also to construct libraries with open internet bandwidth in every area. He also said that all the secretariats of the villages and Rythu Bharosa Kendras (RBKs) should be connected with the internet.

In addition, the Government is also planning an integrated industrial park in Visakhapatnam that includes high-end universities, incubation centres, laboratories, departmental offices, data centers and IT towers.

The government is also palnning to set up an institute of emerging technology and research university. Centres for all e-governance applications in all sectors such as education, health, agriculture and other services of the state are also slated to come up.
