The GHMC official stated that an individual can now notify the contractor or repair department directly and file complaints if the road in the colony is damaged.

The complaints about potholes, uneven road surfaces, re-carpeting, drainage, and maintenance may be filed with the concerned CRMP agencies. The change is planned to ensure speedy repair works and to make traveling for road users smoother.

GHMC has been allocated to private agencies under CRMP with 709-km road repairs, maintenance, and re-carpeting in seven packages. Of the 709 km, in the first year 331 km of roads had to be recarpeted. Most of the work has been completed and the repair of the stretches has now become the priority. In addition to the development of zebra crossings, lane markings and other works, sanitation is also assigned to the agencies in the maintenance of the 331 km road networks. The official has invested almost Rs 400 crore on these schemes till now. Besides the main carriageway, it is also the responsibility of the agencies to maintain greenery on the medians. The overall contract value estimated of CRMP's work amounts to about Rs 1,827 crore.
