Cable Stay Bridge at Durgam Cheruvu will be Thrown Open to Public Soon

The construction of Durgam Cheruvu cable-stayed bridge in Hyderabad is expected to open to the public soon. This new Durgam Cheruvu suspension bridge in Jubilee Hills would connect with the financial district and make the traffic in the area smoother. Also, it will become a big attraction for tourists.

Construction of Durgam Cheruvu Bridge to Complete Soon

Telangana MA&UD Minister KTR stated that the cable-stay bridge at Durgam Cheruvu will be open to the public soon. Infrastructure is the key to growth of the state, and the Government of Telangana has spent over 60 % of the budget on infra creation.

In the course of the structure completion with architectural lights, the minister admired the GHMC engineering team. The Municipal Corporation is currently in the final phases of the construction process of the bridge architectural lighting system. This 238 metres long bridge was built at the price of Rs.180 crore.

In collaboration with a private agency, the importing architectural lighting system was set up and is planned to be an additional attraction for the structure during festival, holidays and special occasions, like Deepavali and Independence Day. The multicoloured lighting would suit the occasion in various ways, it was already attracted many tourists and is admired for its structural grandeur.

City’s First Hanging Bridge Opened to Citizens

The world’s large concrete deck extra-dosed cable-stayed bridge was formally thrown open to the public by MA and UD Minister KT Rama Rao on Friday. The chief guest for the inaugural is G.Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, and other ministers attended the opening inlcude Ministers T.Srinivas Yadav, P.Sabitha Indra Reddy, Md. Mahmood Ali, V.Srinivas Goud, Assembly Deputy Speaker, T.Padma Rao, and others.

City’s First Hanging Bridge Opened to Citizens

The project undertaken under the SRDP is the largest reinforcement deck of the world extradited cable-stayed bridge as constructed at the cost of Rs 180 crore. In the scope of a meticulous planning and coordination project, L&T-HCIC was designed and developed it purely in the EPC mode with various internationally-accredited companies from the US Europe, Russia and Hong Kong in mind.

The elevated corridor, 1,740 metres long and 16.60 metres wide, connects to the cable-stayed bridge to facilitate the free flow of traffic between Hitec City, Madhapur and Gachibowli.

The new long cable bridge would differentiate Hyderabad as the first Hanging Bridge with an aesthetic appearance.
