The renovation project of the Secunderabad railway station has been estimated to cost an approximate of Rs 699 crores.  

"It is said to be completed by the month of October in the year 2025", stated the South Central Railway (SCR) authorities.  

The IIT Delhi has been designated as the ‘proof consultant’ to assess these designs.  

The project is being implemented in the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) mode by Girdharilal Construction Private Limited.  

A topographic survey has been conducted to identify the elevation of the surfaces and testing of the soil. This project is planning on constructing a sky concourse, foot-over bridges, and more.  

Some old railway quarters have been taken down to construct the new buildings.  

The General Manager, Arun Kumar Jain, stated that the project work is being closely supervised at all levels, and the project aims to make the drop-off and pick-up areas for the passengers more convenient.
