The western part of Hyderabad is an IT hub, and now its extension to the Northern part of the city, at Kandlakoya village in the GundlaPochampally municipality of the Medchal-Malkajgiri district will soon commence with bigger establishments.
After a delay of one or two years due to the pandemic, the State IT Minister, KT Rama Rao, laid its foundation on the occasion of the birthday of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
It's a fourteen-storey infrastructure constructed by the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC), having an area of around 10 acres, costing Rs. 100 crores.
It has more than six lakh-sq ft of office space, can accommodate over 100 companies and can create over 50,000 jobs in the IT sector.
The State government is developing IT infrastructure in the north and eastern parts of the city, not only in the Western region, like Uppal, Nagole and LB Nagar.
The set-up of the leading IT company GenPact, MRF Tyres, a dedicated wing of T-Hub, will encourage jobs and investments in the city.
