Mayor Gadwal Vijaylakshmi recently conducted a sanitation inspection drive in the Kukatpally, Khairatabad and Serilingampally areas of GHMC zones. The sanitation drive comes in the wake of rising Covid-19 cases in the city. The drive was carried out based on the orders of MAUD (municipal administration & urban development) minister KT Rama Rao.  

The city mayor after the inspection in areas, such as Panjagutta, Srinagar Colony and others, ordered the termination of a sanitation worker. Meanwhile, GHMC has ramped up its preparation against the Covid-19 pandemic.
