HDMA may net Rs 1,000 crores from open plots

After auctioning the big land parcels, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development AuAuthority (HMDA) is now auctioning the leftover bit of land parcels in and around the city of Hyderabad.  

For the auctioning of 38 open plots, over 100 prospective bidders took part in the pre-bid meeting. 

The HDMA hopes to earn at least Rs.1000 crores through the auctions.  

HMDA officials said the land parcels had been established in Puppalaguda, Nallagandla, Bachupally, Moosapet, Kokapet, Isnapur, Patelguda in Sangareddy, etc. 

HDMA expects a good response in the auctions since the extent is between 302 square yards and 9,680 square yards.  

The HDMA has fixed Rs. 1.50 lakhs per square yard for Nallagandla and Rs. 1.10 lakhs for Kokapet. 

It has also fixed Rs. 60,000 for Puppalaguda, Rs. 70,000 for Ameenpur, Patelguda, and Moosapet, and finally, Rs. 10,000 (the least) for Isnapur.
