Dhruva Space Unveils 280,000 Sq. Ft. AIT Facility in Shamshabad

Hyderabad's prominent space enterprise, Dhruva Space, has unveiled ambitious plans to construct a cutting-edge Design, Engineering, Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) facility spanning an expansive 280,000 square feet. Situated within the strategically advantageous TSIIC Hardware Park II in Shamshabad, this facility is poised to play a pivotal role in advancing indigenous manufacturing capabilities for a wide array of space products. This includes satellite platforms, subsystems, satellite orbital deployers, ground station equipment, and more.

This endeavour, realized on a 6.5-acre land parcel allocated by the Telangana Government, will be executed in multiple phases over five years. The inaugural phase, spanning 150,000 square feet, features the establishment of a state-of-the-art 20,000 square foot Solar Array Assembly Line, slated to become operational within the next 18 to 24 months.

Sanjay Nekkanti, Dhruva Space's CEO, expressed his eagerness for this visionary project and its significance on the global stage. He emphasized the facility's importance in solidifying India's position in the international space industry and underscored its potential to create hundreds of jobs.

Abhay Egoor, the Chief Technology Officer, and co-founder of Dhruva Space, emphasized that the new facility will complement existing ones in Hyderabad and foster partnerships with global OEM players. This moves positions Dhruva Space as a crucial player in the rapidly evolving global space industry.
