2 French Firms Collaborate With Skyroot for Satellite Launch Services

Hyd Skyroot secures contracts with 2 firms for satellite launch services.

In New Delhi, two French companies have forged agreements with Hyderabad-based Skyroot Aerospace to launch their satellite constellations aboard Skyroot's domestically developed Vikram-I rocket in the early part of the next year.

Promethee Earth Intelligence, based in France, entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Skyroot for satellite launch services using the Vikram rockets to deploy the Japetus earth observation constellation, according to a statement by Skyroot.

In a separate trilateral MoU, Expleo, another French firm, will provide reconfigurable software for ConnectSAT, a French company specializing in Internet of Things (IoT) satellites.

"If we work together to nurture NewSpace ecosystems in a mutually beneficial collaborative manner, we will emerge stronger in France, stronger in India, and more competitive in the global markets," Piepsz remarked.

The trilateral agreement between Expleo, ConnectSAT, and Skyroot was formally signed by Abdoulahi Ben Moussa Dia, CEO of ConnectSAT, Frédérique Rebout, Director Alliances and Partners at Expleo, and Chandana of Skyroot.

Skyroot is on track to launch the Vikram-I orbital rocket in the early part of the coming year. The Vikram series of rockets boasts advanced features, including 3D printing, carbon composite structures, and a modular framework that can cater to a wide range of space launch requirements and orbital deployments.
