The Mohan Nagar Colony Park opened on Monday by GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, in the IS Sadan Division.

The Mayor said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is focused on improving the greenery in Hyderabad and GHMC is making all possible efforts to increase the green spaces through the development of parks and mass tree plantations.

Similarly, in addition to developing 120 junctions in the city, the GHMC is developing 320 parks and 50 theme parks. The GHMC built the Mohan Nagar Park, IS Sadan, as part of this initiative.  It was developed with a cost of Rs 1.40 crore for the construction of a compound wall and provided other facilities including a playground, an open gym, a footpath, medicinal and flavoured plants.

The Mayor instructed the residents to take on the responsibility of protecting the park. The GHMC officials were also ordered to provide toilets in the park. With regard to waterlogging, the Mayor said that the GHMC is prepared to conduct nala widening activities if all citizens agree.

The construction of a park provides a healthy atmosphere for all residents of Mohan Nagar Colony at  IS Sadan.
