New Airport Metro Line was bid for by five reputed consortiums

The metro rail authorities obtained excellent rejoinders to the ‘Request for Qualification (RfQ)’ tender for General Consultants (GC) to build the new metro corridor for the Hyderabad Airport.

At the beginning of this month, Telangana Chief Minister KCR set the foundation for the Hyderabad Airport Express Metro at the IKEA junction of the city.

A press statement from the Managing Director of HAML, Mr. NVS Reddy, revealed that five consortiums of thirteen highly reputable Indian and International engineering consultancy companies had presented their bids. They requested pre-qualification for taking part in the GC bids.

The statement obtained from NVS Reddy articulated that “After evaluation of their applications, the next stage bid documents, i.e., the Request for Proposal (RfP) documents, would be issued to the pre-qualified bidders by this month's end."

The new metro is estimated to be built for around Rs. 6250 crores. This establishment will connect the Mindspace junction and the Hyderabad Airport at Shamshabad.
