The decision was taken among 14 States/UTs at the 52nd Meeting of the Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee (CSMC). These houses will be developed on vertical grounds of beneficiary-led buildings, affordable partnership housing and in-situ slum redevelopment.

The construction process is at different stages in more than 70 lakh houses and over 41 lakh houses are completed. The States also send proposals for project revision on different topics such as land, topographical hazard, inter-city migration, change of preferences of verticals, etc.
